Sourav Ganguly, BCCI president and former India Captain has been admitted to a city hospital after testing positive for CoronaVirus Disease, the cricket board sources stated on Tuesday.
Ganguly is fully vaccinated and has been travelling substantially, taking part in all professional activities.
He was hurried to a hospital late on Monday night as a precautionary measure following his RT-PCR test was positive.
“He was taken to Woodlands Nursing Home last night. He has been given medication and is currently stable,” a BCCI source, who is tracking Ganguly’s health, notified PTI.
Ganguly was admitted to hospital twice earlier this year and underwent exigency angioplasty after having some cardiac matters.
His elder brother Snehasish Ganguly had also tested positive for COVID-19 early this year.
