The Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2026 franchises have finalised their squads ahead of the new season. All seven teams have added new players and retained key stars to strengthen their line-ups.
Trinbago Knight Riders brought back Usman Tariq after his strong performances in CPL 2025. However, his availability is uncertain because the tournament overlaps with The Hundred. The franchise also signed Amshi de Silva after his impressive Major League Cricket 2026 campaign. South African batter Matthew Breetzke has also joined the squad.
Guyana Amazon Warriors made several important additions. They signed veteran spinner Imran Tahir, all-rounder Mohammad Nabi, and New Zealand star Glenn Phillips, who returns to the CPL after six years.
St Kitts & Nevis Patriots strengthened their bowling attack by signing Pakistan pacer Naseem Shah. His arrival could see him face his brother Hunain Shah, who will play for Jamaica Kingsmen. The Patriots also added Wanindu Hasaranga, Waqar Salamkheil, and Nikhil Chaudhary.
Major signings boost every franchise
St Lucia Kings welcomed back Tim Seifert and Noor Ahmad. They also signed Shadley van Schalkwyk, who is set to make his CPL debut. Barbados Tridents added Quinton de Kock, Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Chris Green, George Linde, and Daniel Sams to improve both their batting and bowling.
Antigua & Barbuda Falcons signed Shadab Khan and Sufyan Muqeem. Both players are expected to feature in only seven matches because of their commitments in the European T20 Premier League (ETPL). The Falcons also strengthened their squad with the additions of Moeen Ali and Kusal Perera.
The 2026 CPL will be played across eight Caribbean nations, matching the tournament record. The season will run from August 7 to September 20. It will overlap with The Hundred, the European T20 Premier League (ETPL), and the knockout stage of the Lanka Premier League (LPL). Fans can expect another exciting season with several international stars in action.
