The 2021/22 season will be one that fans of Barca will want to let slip and never remember, with no positives, and as February approaches the club have just the Europa League left to compete for.
January has seen the club get out of two tourneys, with erasure coming in both the Supercopa de Espana and the Copa del Rey, and the damage from the latter could be even adverse in the long-term following Ansu Fati left the game in tears, having suffered yet another gash.
Barca are now left in two competitions: LaLiga Santander and the Europa League, and considering the fact they sit 17 points behind of current league leaders, Real Madrid, it is fair to presume that the club will not be vanquishing the title this season.
As such, only the Europa League is left, and this tourney takes on added significance for Barcelona as it is a side door journey back into the Champions League.
