The UEFA Champions League is finally back for the 2021/22 season. The first matchday will be underway tonight the 14th of September. The group stages will commence with 8 matches to be played tonight. English Giants Manchester United and Chelsea will feature tonight along with the Italian superpower Juventus. But the showstopper for the day will most certainly be FC Barcelona taking on Bayern Munich. The struggling Barcelona without the likes of Messi and Griezmann will take on the German Giants. Barcelona were battered 8-2 the last time these two sides met.

Europe’s biggest and best clubs are primed and ready to go for the start of the group stages after a historic summer transfer window.

Chelsea are the defending champions, but there are arguably more contenders this time around than in any previous iteration of the competition. They will begin their campaign tonight against Zenit. Ronaldo led Manchester United will face off Young Boys in their first match tonight. Manchester United are in a stronger position to challenge for the trophy with the Portugal star back in their ranks.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Robert Lewandowski will begin their individual Champions League journeys tonight aiming for glory.

There will be a total of six game weeks in the group stage, with the last series of matches taking place on Tuesday, December 7, and Wednesday, December 8.

The Sony Pictures Sports Network (SPSN) has the rights to show UEFA Champions League matches in India. The timings will be 10:15 pm and 12:30 am IST.
