Dinesh Karthik smashed 55 off 27 balls to record his maiden T20I half-century before Avesh Khan grabbed 4 wickets as India clinched a series-levelling victory.
Invited to bat first, the hosts reached 169/6 in 20 overs in the 4th T20I. India accumulated just 56 runs in the first 10 overs ahead of the Hardik-Karthik stand enhanced the scoring rate.
Whilst Hardik was sent off after hitting 46, Karthik went on to score his maiden T20I fifty. He collected 55 off just 27 balls, smashing 9 fours and 2 sixes to achieve his half-century.
Trailing 170 for the victory, South Africa were bundled out for just 87.
Before, SA skipper Temba Bavuma triumphed the toss and opted to bowl.
After outplaying India in the first two matches, the SA were at the glory end in the 3rd match and in the end faced a defeat.
Commanded by Rishabh Pant, the hosts made a superb comeback in the series following being down 2-0 and secured the 3rd T20I game by 48 runs.
