FC Barcelona will sign Chelsea full-back on a three-year contract

As per a report, Chelsea defender Marcos Alonso is all set to sign a three-year contract with Barcelona as an agreement between the parties is almost sorted.

Alonso, 31, has an existing agreement with Chelsea until 2023, however the player has personally asked the team to sanction the transfer in the summer.

According to reports, the negotiations between Barcelona and Chelsea are in a much finalized stage that the club is close to formalising a low-budget transfer for the left-back (LB).

As for the player, it is his desire to move back to Spain and, Chelsea will not intervene his way despite losing Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rudiger already.

For Chelsea, whilst they have no problems in departure of the player, they are demanding a low key financial fee which is purely justified since the player still has a year left in his deal.

Everything will be settled once the formalities of the change in ownership are fulfilled.

As for Alonso is concerned, he has an agreement with Barcelona despite a visible interest from Atletico Madrid too.

At Barcelona, they reckon Alonso’s playing style will be a good change since his offensive projection is vastly superior to Jordi Alba.

And so, it will be one of those mutually helpful transfers as Alonso wants is to quit Chelsea with an amiable agreement.
