Brazil coach Tite to retire following World Cup 2022

Brazilian coach Tite stated he would retire after the World Cup 2022 in Qatar, for which his five-time world champions are among the dearests.

“I will stay until the end of the World Cup,” he notified Brazilian channel.

Tite, whose real name is Adenor Leonardo Bacchi, has been guiding the team since June 2016 and will wish to conclude his spell by earning Brazil’s sixth World Cup victory to add to the titles they triumphed in 1958, 1962, 1970, 1994, and 2002.

He took over when Brazil’s fate were at low, having been wiped out in the group stage of the Copa America in the United States in 2016.

Under Tite, Brazil went out in the quarter-finals of the 2018 World Cup, only to achieve the Copa America at home the following year.

Although he has assisted the team on a successful unconquered qualification campaign to reach Qatar.
