Billionaire Mukesh Ambani enters race to buy Liverpool FC

Indian richest person Mukesh Ambani has stepped in the race to bid for world-renowned English football club Liverpool FC’s takeover, reported a leading one English daily.

The English Premier League giants are place up available by their current owners Fenway Sports Group (FSG), who bought the Merseyside club in Oct 2010 and have reportedly appointed Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley to help them in selling the team. in keeping with ‘The Mirror’, the FSG are desire to sell the club for four billion British pound.

Ambani, chairman and director of Reliance Industries and rated by Forbes as 8th richest person within the world, has enquired concerning the club, English daily reported .

Few related to the Mumbai-headquartered Indian international conglomerate,however, couldn’t make sure the event.

A statement from FSG read: “There are variety of recent changes of possession and rumors of changes in possession at EPL clubs and inevitably, we asked often concerning Fenway Sports Group’s ownership in Liverpool.

“FSG has frequently received expressions of interest from third parties seeking to become shareholders in Liverpool. FSG has said before that under the right terms and conditions, we would consider new shareholders if it was in the best interests of Liverpool as a club.” The Anfied outfit has enjoyed immense success under FSG with Jurgen Klopp’s side winning a Premier League title, a Champions League, FA Cup, Carabao Cup and European Super Cup over the past few years.
