The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) declared on Monday the squads for the forthcoming Women’s T20 Challenge.
Harmanpreet Kaur, Smriti Mandhana and Deepti Sharma have been labelled as the captains of Supernovas, Trailblazers and Velocity, respectively.
The 3 teams will participate in the forthcoming Women’s T20 Challenge to be played from 23rd to 28th of May at Pune’s MCA stadium.
“The best of Indian women’s cricket will combine with some of the leading stars from South Africa, England, West Indies and Australia. A total of twelve international players will compete in this year’s Women’s T20 Challenge,” the official release said.
The All-India Women’s Selection Committee selected the 3 squads – each consisting a total of 16 members.
The opening match of the Women’s T20 Challenge will be between Trailblazers and Supernovas on 23rd of May.
On 24th of May, Supernovas will face Velocity. And, on 26th of May, Velocity will compete against Trailblazers.
The final of the tourney will be conducted on 28th of May.
