Royal challengers Bangalore beat Mumbai Indians in the battle of the biggies as they finally end their 3 game losing streak. Mumbai Indians won the toss and Rohit Sharma elected to bowl first in this high-intensity contest.

Mumbai Indians got off to a good start as Bumrah got Padikkal out for a duck early on. But Virat Kohli and KS Bharat brought RCB back into the game as they built up a solid performance. Virat Kohli got his second 50 in a row as he absolutely dominated the Mumbai bowlers. Glenn Maxwell’s masterclass helped Bangalore reach a good and competitive total in the end. He absolutely smashed the bowlers to all parts of the ground as he scored a brilliant 56 runs off 37 balls. Bangalore gave Mumbai a fine total of 165 runs to chase down.

In the second innings, Mumbai Indians and Rohit Sharma got off to a good start as he continued his good form from the previous game. Rohit Sharma scored 43 runs off 28 balls before getting dismissed by Glenn Maxwell.

Maxwell could do nothing wrong today as he picked up 2 crucial wickets as well in the game apart from his half-century. Yuzvendra Chahal bowled beautifully in the middle overs as he picked up 3 wickets in the match.

Harshal Patel finished off the game as he came in and took a hat-trick which included wickets of Hardik Pandya and Kieron Pollard. He claimed 4 wickets in the game and took his total wicket tally to 23 wickets in this IPL. He loves playing against Mumbai as he took 5 wickets in the first match against them.

Royal Challengers Bangalore absolutely dominated the game in all departments as they defeated Mumbai Indians considerably by 54 runs as they further secure their place in the playoff position in the third spot.

Glenn Maxwell was awarded the man of the match for his impeccable performance with the bat and ball.
