Red Devils have a possibility plan in place in case Edinson Cavani quits next month, with the Manchester United reportedly lining up a pitch for Mauro Icardi.
Cavani’s future at Old Trafford has been a source of hypothesizing, with him setting foot in the final six months of his contract.
And as per Calciomercato, the Premier League outfit are putting together a move for PSG striker Icardi should Cavani leave in the January transfer window.
The Italian publication claims Icardi is having a cumbersome time in Paris, with his game-time reduced after Lionel Messi’s entry this summer.
Messi, Neymar and Kylian Mbappe are the first-choice at the Parc des Princes, which means Icardi has often been a substitute when the above mentioned trio are fit.
Nevertheless, they add that Man Utd could face competition from Juventus – with the Italian giants’ monitoring his situation.
It is also observed that, Barcelona are intrigued in Cavani – with him eager on the move too but it all depends on Ralf Rangnick.
