Wimbledon Guides Players as “Just Stop Oil” Continues to Disrupt Championships

There have been continuous reports of disruptions among big Sports championships as the protesters of the campaign “Just Stop Oil” disrupt the games. Irrespective of the sport, the protesters have presented the idea of their campaign amid the game please and have been tackled differently by different people.

Recently, the agenda was presented on the Day 1 of the second match of the Ashes 2023, which is being conducted in the Lord’s, London. The protester was tackled by the opening batsman, Jonny Bairstow.

Bairstow was seen, taking him out of the field as the former, interrupted the match and entered the field. The protesters were reportedly seen disrupting the big tournaments such as Grand National, the World Snooker Championship and the Premiership rugby final as well.

The organizers of the most anticipated tennis tournament, Wimbledon prepared, the tournament and arranges on high alert security to avoid any sort of disruptions and invasions on the field during the games.

Michelle Dite on “Just Stop Oil” Protests

Michelle Dite, Operations Director, All England Club was recently quoted while requesting the fans to keep enjoying the games and respecting the safety and enjoyment of others as well while talking about the tournament’s security plans.

“Throughout the year we work closely with the Metropolitan Police and other relevant organizations to ensure that The Championships is as safe and secure as possible and that our plans and measures are commensurate with the threat level and prevailing risks,” said Michelle Dite.

“Based on what has happened at other sporting events, and on the advice from our key partners, we have reviewed our security plans, which have now been uplifted for the championships accordingly,” added Michelle Dite.
