Abhimanyu Easwaran is an Indian cricketer. He is a right-handed opening batter. He plays domestic cricket for Bengal. He is known for his solid technique and patience at the crease.
Abhimanyu was born on 6 September 1995 in Dehradun, Uttarakhand. His full name is Abhimanyu Ranganathan Parameswaran Easwaran. At the age of 10, Abhimanyu moved to Kolkata to focus on cricket. There, he stayed with his coach, Nirmal Sengupta, and studied at Umes Chandra College. He trained hard from a young age and soon became one of Bengal’s top players.

His father is Tamilian and his mother is Punjabi. His father, Ranganathan Easwaran, is a chartered accountant. In 2008, he started the Abhimanyu Cricket Academy in Dehradun to support his son’s dream.
Abhimanyu Easwaran Domestic Career
Abhimanyu made his debut for Bengal in 2013. He plays across all formats First-Class (FC), List A (LA), and T20. As of July 2025, his career stats are:
- First-Class (FC): 101 matches, 7,674 runs, average 48.87, 27 centuries, top score 233
- List A (LA): 89 matches, 3,857 runs, average 47.03, 9 centuries, top score 149
- T20: 34 matches, 976 runs, average 37.53, 1 century, top score 107*
He has also taken 2 wickets in FC matches with his leg-spin bowling. He was Bengal’s top run-scorer in the 2018-19 Ranji Trophy, scoring 861 runs in 6 matches.

Abhimanyu Easwaran Career for India A and National Team
Abhimanyu has captained India A and India B in domestic tournaments like the Duleep Trophy. He scored 153 runs in the 2019-20 Duleep Trophy final for India Red.
He has been part of India’s Test squad multiple times as a standby player. He was included in squads for the series against England and for the World Test Championship final in 2021.
In October 2024, he was named in the Indian squad for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Australia. Currently, he is travelling with the team for the ongoing Anderson Tendulkar Trophy 2025 in England. Though yet to make his full India debut, Abhimanyu continues to be a strong performer in domestic cricket.
