In a breathtaking display of batting dominance, Uday Bhan Cricket Academy registered a commanding 265-run victory over RP Singh Cricket Academy in the inaugural match of the 1st RPS U-16 Cricket Tournament.
The star of the day was undoubtedly Veervardharn, who played a sensational unbeaten 240 off just 155 deliveries, an innings studded with 35 boundaries and six towering sixes. Displaying remarkable composure and strokeplay, he anchored the innings to perfection and walked away with the Player of the Match award. Supporting him brilliantly was Vedant Jakhar, who smashed an aggressive unbeaten 107 off 71 balls, laced with nine fours and five sixes, as the duo stitched together a massive partnership to power Uday Bhan Cricket Academy to a daunting 420/3 in their allotted 50 overs.
For RP Singh Cricket Academy, Yuvraj was the pick of the bowlers with 2/55, while Shaurya Chandna claimed one wicket.
Chasing an imposing target, RP Singh Cricket Academy struggled to build momentum and were eventually bowled out for 155 in 25.2 overs. Reyaansh fought hard with a quickfire 49 off 36 balls, including 10 boundaries, while Shaurya Gautam contributed an entertaining 44 off 23 deliveries with nine fours.
Uday Bhan Cricket Academy’s bowling attack complemented their batting heroics brilliantly. Md. Faheem led the charge with an impressive five-wicket haul (5/61), dismantling the opposition batting line-up, while Ridaan provided excellent support with figures of 3/20.
