Tim David hit his first-ever international century in the third T20I match against West Indies. The match was played in Basseterre, where Australia chased the target with ease. David scored an unbeaten 102 runs off just 37 balls. He smashed six fours and 11 big sixes during his powerful innings.
David came to bat at number four and finished the match with a boundary in the 17th over. His knock helped Australia win by 7 wickets and take a 3-0 lead in the five-match series.
After the match, Tim David said scoring a century for Australia had always been his childhood dream. He was happy to finally achieve it. He also said it felt like “foreign territory” because he had never scored a hundred before in his long T20 career.
“I don’t play for records,” he said in a video shared by cricket.com.au, “but the thought of scoring a hundred for Australia was always there at the back of my mind. I’ve played many T20 games and never reached this mark. So I’m just really thankful.”

Tim David Reveals Using Andre Russell’s Bat to Score Century
Tim David also shared an interesting story about the bat he used for the match. He revealed that he used Andre Russell’s bat to score the century. A year ago, he had traded one of his own bats with the West Indies star. Since then, he had been carrying Russell’s bat and used it a few times. It felt right to use it in this series, David added.
His century is now the fastest ever by an Australian in T20Is, beating Josh Inglis’ 43-ball ton from last year. David also joined the list of the second-fastest centuries in T20I history.
Australia will now face West Indies in the fourth T20I on July 27. Fans will be eager to see if Tim David can continue his amazing form.
