T20 World Cup: Australia defeat Pakistan to step up final clash with NZ

By Piyush

Matthew Wade and Marcus Stoinis stood unbowed in a six-hitting treat to lead Australia into the T20 WC final with a five-wicket triumph over Pakistan on Thursday.

Hunting 177 for win, Australia were in distress at 96-5 when Stoinis (40) and Wade, who smacked the winning six in his 41, put on 81 runs to finish off the match with one over to remain in Dubai.

Wade, who was released by Hasan Ali on 21, hit 3 straight sixes off Shaheen Afridi in the last over to establish a title face-off with New Zealand in Dubai on Sunday.
