Defending champion West Indies agonized its second successive defeat at the ICC Twenty20 WC as its bowlers crashed to defend 143 runs.

WI was 95/3 in 15 overs when Chris Gayle batting at No.4 for the nascent in T20Is and Kieron Pollard got 16 off Shamsi’s third over; both striking a six each. But Gayle was caught behind before he could wreck more damage.

Aiden Markram and Rassie van der Dussen starred as South Africa thrash West Indies by eight wickets in the Group 1 confront of Super 12s in the proceeding ICC T20 World Cup here at the Dubai International Stadium on Tuesday, October 26.

South Africa went after the target with eight balls remaining as Markram and Van der Dussen played the innings of 51* and 43* respectively.
