South Delhi Superstarz lifted the Delhi Premier League (DPL) 2026 title after beating Central Delhi Kings by seven wickets in the final.
The third edition of the DPL delivered another exciting season of T20 cricket. Eight franchises took part in the tournament. A total of 44 matches were played.
The tournament began on July 31 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi. The final also took place at the same venue.
South Delhi Superstarz complete title-winning campaign
Central Delhi Kings were the strongest team during the league stage. They finished at the top of the table with nine wins from 10 matches.
South Delhi Superstarz finished second in the league standings. However, they showed their strength in the knockout stage.
The Superstarz defeated Central Delhi Kings in the first qualifier. The win helped them reach the final directly.
The Kings then got another chance to reach the final. They defeated Purani Dilli 6 in the second qualifier. This set up another meeting with South Delhi Superstarz in the title clash.
Both teams had reached the DPL final before. However, neither side had managed to win the championship.
That changed in 2026.
South Delhi Superstarz produced a strong performance in the final. They chased down the target and won the match by seven wickets.
The victory gave the franchise its first DPL title.
The 2026 season also produced several impressive individual performances. Many players outside the two finalists made a strong impact during the tournament.
Their consistent performances helped make the third edition of the DPL highly competitive.
The best performers of the season have now been recognised in the DPL Team of the Tournament. The team includes players who impressed with both bat and ball throughout the competition.
