Some Red Devils players uncertain over Rangnick’s acceptability to be Old Trafford boss

Some Manchester United players are grappling to adapt to temporary manager Ralf Rangnick’s methods and hesitate whether he is the right man to be in-charge at Old Trafford.

There are groups within the Red Devils dressing room, adding that some of the players are finding it cumbersome to play in Ralf’s 4-2-2-2 formation.

Another source has notified that “they have the players at Manchester United who are ready to play, but they don’t have the coach to get the best out of those players.”

The same source also emphasized that Rangnick’s plans were disturbed in December, when the club had to end their Carrington training ground following a Covid breakout, and that this has had a result on performances.

United have struggled to adapt to Rangnick’s style of play, aside from an encouraging opening half-hour in his first game versus Crystal Palace, and have gone on to scrape results facing Norwich and Newcastle.

Rangnick’s results as Manchester United boss

  • Man Utd 1-0 Crystal Palace (PL, December 5)
  • Man Utd 1-1 Young Boys (CL, December 8)
  • Norwich 0-1 Man Utd (PL, December 11)
  • Newcastle 1-1 Man Utd (PL, December 27)
  • Man Utd 3-1 Burnley (PL, December 30)
  • Man Utd 0-1 Wolves (PL, January 3)
