The craze of franchise cricket league is continuously increasing all over the world. After the success of IPL, in the last few years, franchise leagues have started in countries like West Indies, Bangladesh and Pakistan and have also been successful. In the same year T20 franchise league started in UAE and South Africa as well.

These leagues are also getting good response. Meanwhile, the government of Saudi Arabia also wants to set-up the world’s most expensive T20 league here. For this, he has also held talks with the IPL franchise owners.

According to a report in ‘The Age’, representatives of the Saudi Arabian government have proposed plans to the IPL franchise owners to set-up a T20 franchise league in the Gulf region. The government of Saudi Arabia wants to make this league the most expensive league in the world. In this regard, his conversation with the IPL owners is going on. For the last one year, the Saudi government is working on this plan.

For the success of this expensive league, the Saudi government would like to include Indian cricketers as well. For that she can talk to BCCI in this regard. Significantly, according to BCCI rules, no Indian cricketer can be a part of other cricket leagues running abroad other than IPL.

If any Indian player wants to be a part of these leagues, then he will have to end all his relations with BCCI. That means then that player cannot participate in IPL and other domestic tournaments from Team India. Here Saudi government can convince BCCI to amend its constitution.
