Kolkata Knight Riders win the eliminator against Royal Challengers Bangalore by 4 wickets to set up qualifier 2 with Delhi Capitals.

Virat Kohli won the toss today and elected to bat first in Sharjah. The RCB openers Virat and Padikkal began the innings beautifully scoring in the gaps combined with quick singles. They scored 53 runs in the powerplay. The KKR spinners brought the game back by taking crucial wickets in the middle overs. Sunil Narine was the pick of the bowlers as he got the main wickets of Virat, ABD and Maxwell. He ended up claiming 4 wickets in the match. The RCB batsmen had no answers for his mysterious bowling. RCB only managed to score 138 runs in 20 overs.

In the second innings, Shubman Gill started off very well in the powerplay scoring 29 runs in 18 balls. They were chasing the score with ease until the purple cap holder Harshal Patel removed both the openers. The man of the moment Sunil Narine performed with the bat as well scoring 3 sixes in 3 balls. The match ended up going down to the wire as Siraj took 2 wickets in an over. In the end no effort could result in defending such a low target as it was very less. KKR won the match and now will face DC in Qualifier 2 on Wednesday.

Sunil Narine was awarded the man of the match award for his magnificent all-around performance with the bat and ball.
