Ferland Mendy put the Spanish champions in lead, with Rodrygo and Vinicius appending the third and fourth.

Vinicius then scored twice more in the second half to book the victory.

Real, who face Liverpool in the Champions League final in Paris on 28th of May, secured their 35th Spanish title at the end of April with 4 matches to remain and now thrashed Levante.

Left-back Mendy scored following only 13 minutes, firing into the box and netting past goalkeeper Dani Cardenas ahead of Benzema doubled the lead six minutes later.

Rodrygo and Vinicius made it 4-0 by half time, both netting after good effort from Luka Modric, who became the first Real player since James Rodriguez in 2015 to accord 3 assists in a La Liga game.

Levante required to win against Real and then again in both their last 1 games to have any chance of avoiding expulsion, however ceded a 5th in the 68th minute.

It was selfless from Benzema as he got another brilliant pass from Modric, went around Cardenas and pulled the ball back for Vinicius to earn his second and Real’s fifth.

Benzema and Modric, both superb throughout, received a joyful reception when they were substituted with one of the men to have come on, Luka Jovic, setting up Vinicius as he completed his first Real Madrid hat-trick.
