Novak Djokovic secures seventh Wimbledon championship

Novak Djokovic defat Australian Nick Kyrgios 4-6 6-3 6-4 7-6(3) to triumph his 7^th Wimbledon title.

Djokovic triumphed a 4^th consecutive title at the All England Club to take his overall Grand Slam total to 21.

Djokovic raced out to a 6-1 lead in the fourth-set tiebreaker and modified his 3^rd match point when Kyrgios netted a backhand.

It is Djokovic’s 21^st Grand Slam title overall, letting him one behind record-holder Rafael Nadal.

Only Roger Federer has secured more Wimbledon titles, with 8.

Kyrgios was competing in his first Grand Slam final.
