Mumbai Indians suffer 7th consecutive defeat as CSK dominates

MS Dhoni’s late prosper assisted Chennai Super Kings beat Mumbai Indians by 3 wickets at the DY Patil Stadium.

CSK trailed the target of 156 on the final ball with MS Dhoni banging the winning runs and still in action on 28*.

Ambati Rayudu scored highest for CSK scoring 40 on 35 balls whilst Robin Uthappa contributing a 30.

Before, Mumbai Indians put on 155 for 7 as Tilak Varma scored highest for MI with 51* from 43 balls whilst Suryakumar Yadav chipped in with a 32 on 21 deliveries.

For CSK, Mukesh Choudhary grabbed 3 wickets for 19 runs whilst Dwayne Bravo secured 2.

Mukesh Choudhary devastates Mumbai Indians’ top order to dismiss Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan for duck in the powerplay.

He then dismissed Dewald Brevis for 7, affecting Mumbai to 23/3 in the first three overs.

Youngster Tilak Varma soared a superb half-century to uplift Mumbai out of a risky position. Varma’s fighting 51 boosted Mumbai to 155/7 in 20 overs.
