The Premier League said on Tuesday that Manchester United and Crystal Palace have each been fined 55,000 pounds ($66,506) for a huge brawl between their players earlier this month.

Casemiro was given a straight red card for appearing to grab Will Hughes by the throat during a scuffle between the two teams after a tackle on Antony on February 4.

United went on to win the game 2-1 at home.

United acknowledged that they had failed to guarantee that their players behaved properly and abstained from being provocative, but Palace had refuted the claim.

“An independent Regulatory Commission subsequently found the charge against Crystal Palace proven and imposed both of the clubs’ fines,” the FA said.

Third-placed United will play host to West Ham United in the FA Cup’s fifth round on Wednesday, while Palace will play away at Aston Villa in the Premier League on Saturday.
