Gujarat Titans have recently released their captain Hardik Pandya after trading him to Mumbai Indians and have appointed the opening batsman Shubman Gill as their captain ahead of IPL 2024. The surprising choice of backing Gill ahead of Kane Williamson as the captain is gaining a lot of support from the Cricket fraternity.
After being appointed as the captain, Shubman Gill said, “I am delighted and proud to assume the captaincy of Gujarat Titans and thank the franchise for their trust in me to lead such a fine team. We have had two exceptional seasons and I keenly look forward to leading the team with our exciting brand of cricket”,
