As per the latest progress, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have roped in Afghanistan leg-spinner Izharulhaq Naveed as a net bowler for the 2022 version of the IPL.
Izharulhaq vouched the same by sharing a picture with the RCB jersey on Instagram. Well, Izharulhaq, was a part of Afghanistan’s squad in the U19 World Cup earlier this year.
The leg-spinner was pretty spectacular in the tournament, having grabbed 4 wickets in 6 matches at a remarkable economy rate of 3.63. He now has an opportunity to make a mark against RCB batters in the nets.
It will be a great learning phase for Izharulhaq as he will get to bowl against the players like Virat Kohli, Faf du Plessis and Glenn Maxwell. An awe-inspiring show in the nets can also pocket Izharulhaq an IPL contract in coming years.
