Indian women’s football team to compete in two International friendly games

The All India Football Federation stated, The Indian women’s team will compete in two International friendly games — versus Egypt and Jordan in April.

The matches will be conducted in Jordan on 5th of April (against Egypt) and on 8th (against Jordan).

“The senior women’s national team will be playing Egypt and Jordan in two friendly matches, both of which are to be played in Jordan from April 5-8, 2022,” the AIFF stated.

“The Blue Tigresses will thereafter, be joining their respective clubs for the upcoming Hero IWL season.”

Under head coach Thomas Dennerby the training camp of the squad started in Goa on Monday. The team will leave for Jordan on Saturday.

Dennerby was with the national U18 team which triumphed the SAFF Championships in Jamshedpur previous week. Astam Oraon, Apurna Narzary and Martina Thokchom of the U18 squad have united with the senior national camp.
