The Indian senior volleyball team defeat Singapore 3-0 to start their campaign on a winning note in the 21st Princess Cup 3rd AVC Women’s Challenge Cup at Nakhon Pathom, Thailand.
India came up 25-16, 25-19 25-08 winners in their opening league game of the tourney.
From the Indian side, captain Nirmal, Soorya and Anushree allured the most.
Six countries — India, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Uzbekistan, Hong Kong and China– are taking part in the championship that will end on 30th of June.
The Indian team’s next will be facing Uzbekistan on Saturday, (25th of June).
Achyuta Samanta, President of Volleyball Federation of India (VFI), congratulated the team for its triumphing start in the championship.
