Delhi Capitals’ bus STROKED in Mumbai

Campaigners of Raj Thackeray’s Maharashtra Navnirman Sena busted the windows of at least one of the luxury buses parked outside a five-star hotel to transport players for the forthcoming IPL 2022 matches, officials stated on Wednesday.

The Colaba Police Station hurried a team there and arrested five persons in connection with the occurrence.

Shortly before midnight, around half-a-dozen activists of the MNS-Vahatuk Sena (Transport Wing) sneaked near the bus, pasted posters of their demands on the front of the bus, raised slogans, and started smashing the windows.

The police have taken into custody five senior MNS-VS leaders counting Prashant Gandhi, Santosh Jadhav, Bharmu Nandurkar, and they will be put in front of a Magistrate Court later on Wednesday.

MNS-VS President Sanjay Naik later stated that they were protesting for the buses from outside the state that were hired for the motive of IPL tournament, affecting the employment opportunities of locals as they can render the similar vehicles as needed.

“Despite our protests, they have allowed several buses and other smaller vehicles here from Delhi and other parts, which is affecting the livelihood of the local Marathi people,” Naik notified.

Especially, team Delhi Capitals is lodging at the Taj Palace, a hotel located in the Colaba area of ​​Mumbai. The team is arriving in Mumbai to start their preparations for the forthcoming IPL 2022, commencing 26th of March.

DC will compete in their opening match against Mumbai Indians on 27th of March at Brabourne Stadium.
