CSK book first win of the season

Dinesh Karthik has regenerated hopes for RCB as they trail a massive target of 217.

Robin Uthappa and Shivam Dube’s rapid third wicket partnership forced Chennai Super Kings’ (CSK) to a score of 216/4 following which the bowlers have taken advantage of the oppression on the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) batters.

RCB lost Faf du Plessis, Virat Kohli and Anuj Rawat just within the powerplay. Glenn Maxwell looked like he was settling by his shots but he too was removed by Ravindra Jadeja.

Before, Dube concluded the CSK innings undefeated on 95 off 46 balls whilst Uthappa banged 88 off 50 balls.

The duo put up a massive 165 runs off 74 balls, coming together when the score was 36/2.

Earlier, Faf du Plessis,skipper of the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) this version, triumphed the toss and chose to bowl first at the DY Patil Stadium.

Ruturaj Gaikwad seemed to have started to a good start but was dismissed on 17 to Josh Hazlewood. Moeen Ali then was removed by a sensational fielding effort from RCB debutant Suyash Prabhudessai.

RCB seemed to be on the top at the time however Uthappa and Dube shooted.
