Red Devils star Cristiano Ronaldo has been notified to step up and assist struggling winger Jadon Sancho.
He has found it cumbersome to adapt to life in the Premier League following a massive successful stint at Borussia Dortmund.
In his last three Bundesliga seasons, Sancho racked up a magnificent 78 goal contributions in just 92 games.
And many of those were as an adolescent, leading many to queries why Manchester City allowed his departure in 2017.
United finally pulled off a hotly-predicted £73 Million dive during the summer, with Sancho expected to shake up the club’s attack over the coming years.
And while there is still a hope that he could have the required effect, progress has so far been steady, with just 1 goal and 0 assists in 17 Premier League outings this term.
Former Leeds United and Man Utd star Alan Smith reckons that Ronaldo could provide Sancho’s path to success at Old Trafford.
“I think the difficulty going to Man Utd is that people feel they have to show how good they are, but I think it’s actually the opposite,” he stated.
“You need to show the commitment and the hunger to improve, as he obviously is doing.”
