Atletico Madrid beat La Liga champions Real Madrid to set themselves on the brink of qualifying for the Champions League.

Real made 7 changes after their dramatic victory over Manchester City on Wednesday.

Atletico began powerfully and Yannick Carrasco converted what demonstrated to be the winner from the penalty spot following Matheus Cunha was brought down.

Atletico remain fourth, six points clear of Real Betis in 5th.

Carlo Ancelotti’s men have 3 more league matches to play ahead of meeting Liverpool in the Champions League final on 28th of May in Paris.
