India Vs SL 2nd T20 postponed as Krunal Pandya Tests Positive for COVID

The second T20 between India and Sri Lanka at the Premadasa stadium in Colombo has been postponed. The match was supposed to take place today, Tuesday the 27th, but now it has been postponed by a day. This step was taken following the India all-rounder Krunal Pandya testing positive for COVID-19.

The second T20I between India and Sri Lanka has been postponed and will likely be played on Wednesday if the remaining squad tests negative.
Following the Rapid Antigen Tests conducted ahead of the match on Tuesday morning, Team India all-rounder Krunal Pandya was found to be positive. The Medical Teams have identified eight members as close contacts.

According to sources 8 Indian players who were in touch with Krunal Pandya have been isolated. These players will be tested later and if they test negative the match will take place on Wednesday the 28th. The players being isolated also include Prithvi Shaw and Suryakumar Yadav, all set to fly to England for the test series. If they test positive, they will miss the England tour.

India is currently leading the 3 matches T20 series 1-0. A win on Wednesday will ensure another important T20 series win ahead of the World T20, which is going to be held later this year.
