CSK File Complaint Against RCB Over Alleged Misconduct During IPL 2026 Clash

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have filed an official complaint with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). The complaint is related to alleged misconduct during their IPL 2026 match on April 5 at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

CSK have raised several concerns. These include inappropriate songs played in the stadium and alleged harassment of their fans. The issue has added fresh controversy to the rivalry between the two teams.

CSK raises concerns over stadium DJ remarks and fan behavior at Chinnaswamy Stadium

According to reports, CSK were unhappy with a song played during the match. The song included words like “dosa, idli, sambar, chutney.” The franchise felt these lines mocked Tamil Nadu culture and identity.

CSK managing director Kasi Viswanathan spoke about the issue. He said stadium DJs usually support the home team. However, he felt things went too far in Bengaluru. He also said some comments were made against CSK players. Because of this, the franchise decided to write to the BCCI and ask for action.

This is not the first time such an issue has come up. A similar incident happened last year. A video of Jitesh Sharma singing the same lines had gone viral. CSK fans had strongly reacted at that time. Later, CSK ensured their own DJ avoided such comments during matches in Chennai.

Now, CSK believe the same lines were crossed again in Bengaluru. They have also complained about remarks made by the stadium DJ after CSK players got out. The franchise said the DJ’s role should be to entertain fans, not insult the opposition.

On the field, RCB dominated the match. They scored a huge 250 for 3 after batting first. Tim David smashed an unbeaten 70 off just 25 balls. Rajat Patidar supported him well in the final overs. Devdutt Padikkal and Phil Salt also made important contributions.

In reply, CSK struggled early. They lost key wickets in the powerplay. Some middle-order efforts helped them fight back. But they were bowled out for 207 in 19.4 overs. RCB won the match by 43 runs.
