Vaibhav Sooryavanshi Enjoys Wimbledon Final With Yuvraj Singh, Calls Him His Idol

India’s young batting star Vaibhav Sooryavanshi had a special day away from cricket as he attended the Wimbledon 2026 men’s singles final at Centre Court on Sunday, July 12. The teenage cricketer was accompanied by former India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh and India opener Abhishek Sharma.

Vaibhav impressed fans with his stylish look at the prestigious event. He wore a black blazer, white shirt, striped tie, and sunglasses. His appearance quickly caught the attention of cricket and tennis fans on social media.

During an interaction with Star Sports, Vaibhav spoke about his close bond with Yuvraj Singh. He described the former India star as his idol and said he has learned a lot from him.

“Woh mere idol bhi hain. Jab main unse pehli baar mila tha toh bahut achha laga tha. Maine unse kaafi baatein ki thi aur unhone mujhe bahut kuch samjhaya bhi. Ab unse itna kuch seekhne ko mil raha hai aur future ke liye bhi yeh mere liye bahut achha rahega [He is my idol. When I met him for the first time, it felt really special. I had a lot of conversations with him, and he explained many things to me. I’m learning so much from him now, and I believe it will help me a lot in the future as well],” he said during an interaction with Star Sports.

The youngster also shared a funny story about getting ready for the event. He admitted that there was very little time to prepare and thanked Abhishek Sharma for arranging his outfit.

“Nahi kuch kiya nahi, but jaldi jaldi mein bas jo mila mujhe mein maine Abhishek bhai se bolke arrange karaya aur daal kar aaya hu. (I didn’t plan anything; whatever I could find in the last minute, I asked Abhishek and he got it arranged for me, and I just wore it),” Sooryavanshi laughed.

The Wimbledon final ended with World No. 1 Jannik Sinner defeating Alexander Zverev 6-7(7), 7-6(2), 6-3, 6-4 to win the Wimbledon men’s singles title for the second consecutive year.
