India are not the favourites to beat the seven-time champions Australia. But there could be a situation where the hosts might lose without even playing a single ball.
The ongoing last group stage match between India and Bangladesh has already been reduced to 26 overs per side because of rain. And the forecast for the coming days does not look promising either.

This could lead to several stoppages and possibly even a shortened game.

Yes, the International Cricket Council (ICC) has kept a reserve day for the India vs Australia semifinal. If the match cannot be completed on October 30, it will continue on October 31.

If either of the semifinals is completely washed out, the team that finished higher on the points table will advance to the Women’s ODI World Cup 2025 final.

Similarly, if the first semifinal between England and South Africa gets abandoned or ends in a no result, it will be England who progress to the title clash.
