The Indian hockey team recently won the Asian Champions Trophy 2023 against the Malaysian hockey team after defeating them in the final match by 4-3. India locked horns with Malaysia on 12 August 2023, Saturday at 8:30 PM IST at the Mayor Radhakrishnan Hockey Stadium, Chennai.
With four titles, the Indian hockey team has now become the most successful team in the history of the tournament. While the Pakistan hockey team takes the second spot with 3 title wins.

Harmanpreet Singh was all in praise for the squad during a press conference after the final match. While highlighting how not being overconfident is the motto for the team, he said, that the team decided that no matter how many goals we have to score or we have already scored we have to be mentally strong and not change our attitude.
“We had decided that, whether we are leading or we’re behind by 100 goals, our game shouldn’t change and we have to be mentally strong,” said Harmanpreet Singh
