The Hundred 2026 Schedule Announced as Tournament Enters New Era

The fixtures for the 2026 edition of The Hundred were announced on Tuesday. This will be the first season after stakes in all eight franchises were sold to external investors. The tournament will run from July 21 to August 16. It has been given a clear window in England’s international calendar. This applies to both men’s and women’s cricket. As a result, all top players are expected to be available.

The men’s final will once again be played at Lord’s. However, England’s men’s team will begin a Test series against Pakistan on August 19. This is just two-and-a-half days after the Hundred final. A similar situation happened in 2025 as well.

Several England Test players have already signed big contracts. Each team retained eight players before the auctions. This included four men and four women per franchise. The women’s auction will be held on March 11. The men’s auction will follow on March 12.

Harry Brook will earn close to £500,000 with Sunrisers Leeds. Other England players signed include Ben Duckett, Jofra Archer, and Jamie Smith.
Teams can now play up to four overseas players in the XI. This is one more than previous seasons.

New team names and key changes for The Hundred 2026

Three teams have been renamed for the 2026 season. Oval Invincibles are now MI London. Northern Superchargers are now Sunrisers Leeds. Manchester Originals are now Manchester Super Giants.

The double-header format will continue. Women’s matches will be followed by men’s games at the same venue. A reserve day has also been added for the Eliminator match. This change comes after rain affected past knockout games.

The tournament will begin on July 21 at The Oval. MI London will face Sunrisers Leeds.
