Sourav Ganguly Refuses IPL Chairmanship

On Monday evening BCCI president Sourav Ganguly,  reached Mumbai, had a great deal of conferences with the stakeholders of the national cricket body in Capital New delhi, last week. the previous India captain was keen to continue as BCCI President, however he was told that there’s no precedence of giving a second term to the Board president.

“Sourav was offered IPL chairmanship but he politely declined the offer. His logic was that he cannot accept becoming head of a sub-committee in BCCI after heading the same institution. He had expressed interest in continuing in the position,” the BCCI source said.

Arun Singh Dhumal who is presently the treasurer, is probably going to become IPL chairman. just in case of Dhumal, the board waited for Ganguly to require a turn IPL spot and once he refused, they promoted the Himachal man, who has been better-known to be one in all the foremost economical men in last BCCI meeting.

With Ganguly moving out of the image, the East illustration was forever progressing to be Assam CM Biswa Sarma’s decision as he vie a key role even last time.

“An influential minister in the central government played a key role in deciding the positions in the Board set up,” a BCCI source told PTI.

Binny, though, may be a surprise option to head the BCCI. Nevertheless, hints were born that his name can manifest itself for a few position once Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) named him as its representative at BCCI AGM rather than secretary Santosh Menon.
