Indian cricket star Smriti Mandhana and music composer Palash Muchhal remain in the news due to uncertainty around their wedding. The wedding was earlier planned for November 23 in Sangli.
The ceremony was abruptly postponed after a medical emergency in Smriti’s family. Smriti’s father, Srinivas Mandhana, fell seriously ill on the wedding day.
He was rushed to the hospital for treatment. A few hours later, Palash Muchhal was also admitted due to stress-related health issues.
Both have now recovered. However, the families have not announced a new wedding date. On Tuesday, social media was flooded with rumours. Reports claimed that the couple would get married on December 7. These rumours spread quickly across platforms and fan pages.
Smriti Mandhana- Palash Muchhal Wedding Date Still Not Decided
Smriti’s brother Shravan Mandhana has now denied these reports. He spoke to Hindustan Times and cleared the confusion. “I have no idea about these rumours. As of now, it (the wedding) is still postponed,” he said.
His statement ended all speculation about a December 7 wedding. It also made it clear that no new date has been fixed yet. The rumours became stronger after fans noticed changes on Smriti’s Instagram. She deleted all wedding-related posts after the postponement.
However, her casual photos with Palash are still visible. There has been no official announcement from either family so far. Earlier, Palash’s mother Amita Muchhal spoke about the emotional impact of the incident.
She said both families are still recovering from the shock of the disrupted wedding. She also shared that Palash had dreamed of bringing his bride home.
She had even planned a special welcome for Smriti. Despite the heartbreak, she remained hopeful and said, “Everything will be fine, shaadi bohot jaldi hogi.” The cricket world has also shown strong emotional support.
Veteran actor Suniel Shetty praised Jemimah Rodrigues. He lauded her for pulling out of the WBBL to support Smriti. He called it “the purest form of friendship.”
