“I want to instill discipline and nurture players capable of reaching the pinnacle. It’s not about individuals; it’s about creating a strong team, much like in my playing days. “Sri Lanka Cricket has been besieged with complaints of player disciplinary issues, management corruption, financial misconduct and match-fixing allegations. I would like to emphasise that interim measures will only be taken to establish good governance principles”, said Ranasinghe.
“Sri Lanka Cricket became known as the most corrupt institution in the country. I want to change that image. Furthermore, the Chairman of the committee will appoint sub-committees to address various areas such as administration, cricket development, and law,” he added.
