Salman Ali Agha Positive To Beat India in IND vs PAK Semi Final Clash in Asia Cup 2025

India and Pakistan are ready to face each other again in the Asia Cup 2025. Both teams have moved to the Super Four stage. The much-awaited clash will take place on September 21 in Dubai.

In their last meeting, India defeated Pakistan by seven wickets. That game also created headlines because of the no-handshake controversy. This time, Pakistan will look to bounce back strongly. Their captain, Salman Agha, believes the team can deliver under pressure.

Pakistan reached the Super Four after beating the United Arab Emirates. They won by 41 runs. Batting first, Pakistan scored 146 for 9. Fakhar Zaman made a fifty at the top. Later, Shaheen Afridi played a quick cameo of 29 runs from 14 balls. His late hitting helped Pakistan reach a fighting total.

Pakistan’s bowlers then kept UAE under control. They defended the target with discipline. This victory also helped Pakistan move past the off-field drama. Before the match, they had threatened a boycott due to issues with match referee Andy Pycroft.

After the win, Salman Agha said his team must stay focused. He stressed that Pakistan should not get distracted by controversies.

“Yeah, we’re ready for any challenge. We just want to play good cricket. If we continue to do that, we will be good against any side,” Agha said.

The captain admitted Pakistan’s batting is still a big worry. He pointed out their struggles in the middle overs. He said this weakness has stopped them from posting higher totals.

“We got the job done, but we must bat better in the middle overs. We have not batted our best yet. Even then, we score around 150. If we improve in that phase, we can reach 170 or 180 against any team,” he added.

Pakistan now turn their focus to the India clash. Agha hopes his team can rise to the challenge. The stage is set for another exciting contest in Dubai.
