Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) fast bowler Yash Dayal is in the news again. His personal life has been making headlines for weeks. Now, it is also affecting his cricket career.
Dayal has been reportedly stopped from playing in the Uttar Pradesh T20 League. He was part of the Gorakhpur Lions team this season. The franchise bought him for Rs 7 lakh in the auction. But a criminal case against him has led to trouble.
FIR and Allegations Against Yash Dayal
A woman from Ghaziabad has accused Dayal of rape. The police have registered a case against him. The first FIR was filed on July 6 at Indirapuram police station in Ghaziabad district. It was registered under Section 69 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). This section is about sexual intercourse by using deceitful means.
The woman claims that Yash Dayal promised to marry her. She says they met about five years ago. According to her, Dayal kept delaying marriage and later, she found out he was involved with other women too.
Dayal has denied the allegations. In his petition, he said a person can be charged under Section 69 only if it is proven that he never intended to marry from the start. He has asked the court to stop his arrest and cancel the FIR.

According to a report by Dainik Jagran, the Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association (UPCA) has barred Yash Dayal from the league. But the owner of Gorakhpur Lions, Vishesh Gaur, says the team has not received any official notice from UPCA.
The case is still going on in court. It is unclear whether Dayal will play in the UP T20 League this season.
Dayal, who is 27 years old, rose to fame in the IPL. He was known for his performances as a pacer for RCB. But now, his cricket career faces uncertainty due to the legal trouble.
The next hearing in the case is expected soon. Until then, Dayal’s future in both domestic cricket and the UP T20 League remains in doubt.
