Brazilian football superstar Pele was released from the hospital where he was admitted 4 days before for colon cancer treatment, the establishment declared.
He was ‘in a good and stable clinical condition,’ the Albert Einstein Hospital in Sao Paulo stated in a statement.
Acknowledged by many the epic footballer of all time, Pele is the only player in history to have triumphed 3 World Cups (1958, 1962 and 1970).
Brazil star will resume visiting the hospital at least once a month for check-ups and to carry on with the chemotherapy for a colon tumor diagnosed last September, as per his family.
In February, the recovering Pele spent 2 weeks in hospital for cancer treatment tangled by a urinary tract infection.
Prior his cancer identification, which saw Pele hospitalized for a month previous year, the former Santos and Brazil national star had been admitted to have a kidney stone eradicated in 2019 and for a urinary tract infection in 2014.
Pele has also had his strength reduced by hip problems that have exacted him to use a wheelchair.
