Liverpool have booked winger Luis Diaz from Porto for an opening fee of £37 Million.
He has signed a five-and-a-half-year agreement with Liverpool FC and will showcase the number 23 shirt.
The fee for Diaz could augment to as much as £49 Million if potential add-ons are activated during his time at the club.
Hotspurs wanted to fetch Diaz during the latest window and were eager to pay up to £46 Million, however the winger favoured a move to Liverpool.
Diaz needs a work permit to enter the UK, which means he is unlikely to appear in Liverpool till the end of next week at the earliest.
Liverpool’s next game is at home versus Cardiff in the FA Cup on Sunday, February 6th.
