Jasprit Bumrah will play for India in the fourth Test against England. The match will take place at Old Trafford in Manchester from July 23 to 27, 2025. This news was confirmed by India’s assistant coach Ryan ten Doeschate on Thursday (July 17).
Bumrah is India’s leading fast bowler and his return will be important as India looks for balance in the series.
India likely to play Bumrah with series on the line
Ten Doeschate spoke to the media after India’s first practice session in Manchester. He said that Bumrah is available for one of the last two Tests. But the team is likely to play him in Manchester.
“The series is on the line now,” he said. “So there will be a leaning towards playing him.”
Earlier reports had said Bumrah might miss the fourth Test to manage his workload. It was believed he would return for the final Test at The Oval from July 31 to August 4.
