The India Women’s cricket team will play a three-match ODI series against hosts England from Wednesday, July 16 to Tuesday, July 22.
Led by Harmanpreet Kaur, the Indian team started their England tour with a magnificent win in the five-match T20I series earlier this month. This series will be the first ODI meeting between India and England since September 2022. Back then, India won the three-match series 3-0.
Harmanpreet Kaur was the star of that series, scoring 221 runs in three matches and winning the Player of the Series award.
India’s ODI Form and Key Players
The series will also be India’s first ODI assignment since winning the Women’s ODI series 2025 in Sri Lanka. India dominated that tournament and won the final in style.
Smriti Mandhana and Pratika Rawal will be the key batters for India. Deepti Sharma and Sneh Rana, both spinners, will lead the bowling attack after good performances in recent ODIs.

England’s Recent Form and Star Performers
England Women are in good form too. They recently defeated West Indies 3-0 at home. Amy Jones was named Player of the Series after scoring 251 runs in two games. Linsey Smith impressed with the ball, taking seven wickets in two innings.
Amy Jones and Tammy Beaumont have scored nearly 450 runs each in their last nine ODI innings. Lauren Filer and Sophie Ecclestone have also done well, with 13 and 12 wickets respectively in recent ODIs.
In the latest ICC Women’s ODI rankings, England are second with 128 points, behind Australia, while India are in third place with 121 points.
