India and Nepal will play for the first time in an international match on 4 September, Monday at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium, Kandy, Sri Lanka as Nepal qualified for the first time for the Asia Cup. Both the teams have already played their first match of the group stage against Pakistan which for India unfortunately ended as a draw and Nepal as a loss.
The India and Pakistan game was held on 2 September at the same ground at Kandy which was abandoned. Pakistan have made their way into the super four stage with three points, and are on the first spot on the points table of group A. Whoever wins between India and Nepal will qualify for the super four stage. As of now, India stands on the second spot on the points table with one point while Nepal stands on the third with zero points.
