- Former Indian head coach and all-rounder Ravi Shastri believes that the Australian pace attack is more sharper than the Indian one during the ICC World Test Championship final against Australia, which begins From June 7 at The Oval.
Before the World Test Championship final, Shastri said, “If Jasprit Bumrah was in the squad, I would have said that both bowling attacks are strong. But Australia has Pat Cummins & Mitchell Starc.”
Bumrah has been notably out for the last eight to nine months due to a back injury. In April, Bumrah had undergone lower back surgery in New Zealand. The medical procedure was successful and helped Bumrah to be pain free. He also missed the IPL 2023.
Ravi Shastri said that both the teams involved are the best Test teams in the world because of their sheer consistency over the past two years. He also said that Test cricket needs few superstars and larger than life characters so that more and more people can watch it.
